the newtown festival turned out to be a brilliant day! it's a funny thought buying woollen goods on a beautifully hot sun shinny day, but wellington turned up, represented & purchased! i guess it has a lot to do with wellingtonians knowing that the next cold southerly is just around the corner...
Rebecca & I would like to thank everyone who brought, looked at, liked, loved, touched, tried on our gears! also, big thanks to our friend Kate Betteridge who supplied us with her 'scarlett' range to sell on her behalf - her stuff flew off the board like "hotcakes on a cold day!" (a quote that our seven year old nephew was using on the day!) we got great feedback about our gear & can say that we are actually really proud of the stuff we had there. We also learnt a lot about what 'the people' love & have already got ourselves busy 'hooking' into more hand-lovingly-made crochet goods that are not only good for your soul, they are good for your mum, cousin, best friend, grandma, boss, aunty, nephew, mother-in-law, sister, niece, rugby team, brother....... we'll be updating the website & uploading more pics, so please say tuned. yours in wool sonia & rebecca xo
